About Sara

Sara Sweet Rabidoux-Kelsey began her creative life as a choreographer, founding and directing the Boston-based dance company, hoi polloi. She was first a student at the Bates Dance Festival in 1992, returning in 1993 on the Emerging Choreographer scholarship. In 1995, Sara and her friend Rose helped Jane Weiner establish the Youth Arts Program (YAP) and co-directed the program until 2006, teaching modern technique and composition. Since 2016, Sara has been a storyteller and is co-founder of Blind Tiger Tellers, a storytelling consultancy in Boston, working with non-profits, students and individuals. She is a Moth Grand Slam Champion, a Moth MainStage performer, and this year was featured several times on The Moth Radio Hour. She co-hosts Food On The Radio (broadcast on WOMR out of Provincetown, MA) along with Adam Miller with whom she co-produces the Provincetown Dance Festival. Sara serves on the board of Winthrop Community Access Television and the advisory board of the North Shore Smith College Club. All in all, Sara has spent 16 summers in Lewiston working with the festival and connecting with local kids and families. She holds both the town and the festival very dear to her heart.
