About Paul
Paul Matteson teaches for the Bennington College B.F.A. dance program and was an associate professor at the University of the Arts. His research explores methods for generating inventive movement and partnering within collaborative choreography. He was a member of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company. He has also worked with David Dorfman Dance, Lisa Race, Terry Creach, Peter Schmitz, Keith Johnson, Neta Pulvermacher, and many others. His latest duet with Jennifer Nugent premiered in NYC at New York Live Arts and in Boston at The Dance Complex. He recently collaborated with sculptor Rosalyn Driscoll on performance “happenings” at The Barre Center for Buddhist Studies and A.P.E. Hawley Street in Northampton, MA. He has received a BESSIE award for his body of work as a performer.
