Afro Fusion
Come join me for a cultural embodied exploration of dances from the African Diaspora! Participants will be introduced to a combination of basic West African movements within a contemporary modern dance framework. We will also learn songs sung throughout the African Diaspora! We will bring these songs and dances outside in celebration of our beautiful dancing community. This high impact, polyrhythmic exploration will help participants gain greater body awareness and improve stamina as we dive into new embodied vocabulary. Participants will be encouraged to generate their own movement to create a final group sharing.
