Join Kimberly Bartosik and Shamel Pitts as they discuss their times dancing for world-renowned masters Merce Cunningham and Ohad Naharin. Kimberly danced with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company for 9 years and received a Bessie Award for Exceptional Artistry for her work with the company. Shamel danced with Batsheva Dance Company for 7 years and is a certified teacher of Gaga movement language. He is a recent recipient of a Doris Duke Award in Dance.
Join these two choreographers as they discuss their work in those companies and how it has affected their own choreographic practice.
